چکیده
Background: Multidrug-resistant efflux pumps are one of the most significant methods by which bacteria can evade effects numerous antimicrobials. The aim this study was to determine prevalence multidrug-resistant MDR, extremely drug-resistant XDR, and pan-drug-resistant PDR K. pneumoniae phenotypes in clinical isolates, as well examine detection pump genes ompK35, ompK36, tolC, acrAB strains.
Materials Methods: This conducted on 60 isolates collected from different samples Erbil hospitals. frequency characterized through an antibiotic susceptibility profile, associated with porins were detected polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay.
Results: All resistance or more classes antibiotics tested study. maximum observed ampicillin (95%), followed piperacillin acid (83%). Among all percentage (38%), (37%), (25%) respectively. Furthermore, distribution (95%) tolC (93%), while porin-coding ompK35 ompK36 (80%) (82%) respectively.
Conclusion: Prevalence strains city is worrisome hospital wards. Genes encoding such acrAB, ompk35, highly distributed among isolates.

متن کاملMolecular typing and virulence analysis of multidrug resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae clinical isolates recovered from Egyptian hospitals
Klebsiella pneumonia infection rates have increased dramatically. Molecular typing and virulence analysis are powerful tools that can shed light on Klebsiella pneumonia infections. Whereas 77.7% (28/36) of clinical isolates indicated multidrug resistant (MDR) patterns, 50% (18/36) indicated carpabenem resistance. Gene prevalence for the AcrAB efflux pump (82.14%) was more than that of the mdtK ...

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: The resistance of gram-negative bacteria to antibiotics has become a serious problem, which imposes a significant increase in treatment costs. Klebsiella pneumoniae is an important nosocomial pathogen from the Enterobacteriaceae family. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency and pattern of antibiotic resistance in K. pneumoniae strains isolat...
متن کاملMolecular characterization of multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates
Klebsiella pneumoniae is an important cause of healthcare-associated infections worldwide. Selective pressure, the extensive use of antibiotics, and the conjugational transmission of antibiotic resistance genes across bacterial species and genera facilitate the emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) K. pneumoniae. Here, we examined the occurrence, phenotypes and genetic features of MDR K. pneum...
